Horse Astragalus
Also known as the talus bone, is a bone in the horse's ankle joint that provides stability and support. It articulates with the lower (distal) end of the tibia, helping the foot bones move and enabling a horse to walk on it's toes.

Also known as the heel bone, this is the largest tarsal bone.

Horse Navicular
Located on the medial side of the foot, it articulates with the talus and three cuneiforms, and attaches to the tendon of the tibialis posterior muscle.

Located on the lateral side of the foot, in front of the calcaneus, and behind the fourth and fifth metatarsal bones.
